Approved Policies and Procedures in effect:  June 1, 2018

The following policies and procedures, approved by the Commission on December 14, 2017, are now in effect:

  • SH 670             Fleet Safety
  • SH 670.1          Fleet Safety Procedures
  • SH 671             Fleet Safety-Drug and Alcohol Testing

The fleet policies and procedures apply to employees that drive Library System owned-vehicles as a condition of employment.  HUM is in the process of notifying all affected employees and scheduling initial testing.  There are two testing sites available, both operated by McBride Clinic.  In the future, random testing will be performed on a quarterly basis.  HUM will be responsible for notifying employees selected for random screening, maintaining current driver’s license information and performing annual motor vehicle record evaluations for fleet drivers.

If you have any questions regarding the new policies and procedures, please contact HUM at ext. 3739.
