Capital Projects 
 

Belle Isle Renovation/Addition – Demolition is ongoing inside and new foundations and piers for the new additions are ongoing. Meetings are ongoing to review and refine the furniture and space plans. The public artist selection process is in progress.

Long Range Plan/Capital Projects Update: We will set a meeting for later this in March 2021 with representation from leadership team/public services/business office to begin discussions to update the capital projects priority list and associated long range plan update as we prepare for the FY2022 budget process.

Facilities Maintenance Related Projects

 

Delivery Route System – We are currently reviewing the current system in place and have put forward a two-route solution to put in place to ensure we get to every library daily regardless of staffing levels. We have tested the two-route scenarios on several Fridays and as of February 4th the two-route solution is being run daily until further notice.

Facilities Maintenance Related Projects

 

Downtown Library – The City of Oklahoma City has approved for Orion Security to continue with the burglar alarm project. Installation began on December 11th and is still in progress to be completed later this month.  Information will be forthcoming regarding how this may change or impact building occupants, if applicable.
