UPDATED-Legacy Overdrive app being removed - February 23!

The date has been set – the legacy OverDrive app will be removed from app stores on February 23, 2022.

Important information:

• Existing OverDrive app users that already have the app downloaded will be able to continue using it.
• The OverDrive app will not be removed from the Amazon App store for Kindle users at this time. Since Libby is not yet available in the Amazon App store, new and existing Kindle users can continue to use the OverDrive app. They can also stream content through http://libbyapp.com. They could also deliver Kindle books using the Send to Kindle feature from another device that does support Libby.

Overdrive will share more details on how OD app users will be prompted to switch to Libby – and the timing for eventual retirement of the OverDrive app – later this year. The goal is to move most of our guests to Libby by the end of 2022. Please bookmark this page on the Resource Center for an overview of the sunset, FAQs, Libby promotional materials, and more.
