New Mission and Core Values

At the Commission Meeting on June 18, the Metropolitan Library Commission unanimously approved a new Mission Statement:

Connecting our diverse communities with resources and experiences to educate and enrich lives.

And our new Core Values:

• Equity, Diversity and Inclusion 
• People First 
• Innovation 
• Integrity 
• Respect

You will be hearing more about these as we begin incorporating them into our strategic plan, budget, plans for service, projects and initiatives, and daily interactions with customers and each other.  Until we have a new Vision Statement, it will remain "We grow smarter communities, one person at a time. "
