Jeans ... Summer Reading ... and the Read 20 Button

Print

A couple of folks have asked about wearing jeans during June/July as part of the Summer Reading, and I wanted to assure you that as long as you are wearing your "Read for 20 " button, YES, you can wear jeans.  This is mentioned on the "About Summer Reading" page and is a continuation of our practice last year:

Using “read for 20” buttons for staff to wear during all of June and July, rather than having staff T-shirts for summer reading (Executive Director added that staff could wear jeans during June and July, any day of the week, when they wear their “Read for 20” button)

At the risk of sounding preachy, please remember that you are still coming to work, and so you are expected to look professional ... That means don't wear the clothes you'd wear to clean out your garage or plant wheat in the back 40 or hit your favorite after hours dive ... we still have the dress code and we want patrons to see us as professionals.  'Nuff said.

Enjoy the summer, and wear your "Read for 20" button (even if you don't wear jeans)!
