TLC Upgrade - Tuesday, March 26, 2024

On Tuesday, March 26, after close of business, TLC will be performing an upgrade to CARL.X and CARL.Connect.
Here are the main highlights of what you will notice:
- CARL.X: A new “informational note” (See "Notes from CARL Manual_trackedaccepted.docx" attachment for the highlighted Informational Note section to see when it is appropriate to use an Informational Note vs Standard Note vs Urgent Note).
- CARL.Connect will see the most functionality upgrades:
- Updated notes to include Informational Notes and Urgent Notes
- Updated Items into a grid format with BID level information
- Manage > Fill List has a drop down to filter by “pick-up branch”
- Claims Returned Functionality is listed as “Dispute Checkout”
- Copy (aka Clone) Users
- Holds Functionality to process Expired holds
- Various bug issues

Please review the attached documents to see all changes coming. See the attached instructions on how to clear the cache on the iPads to ensure pulling morning holds works correctly. To see how this release will bring CARL.Connect closer to having the same functionality of CARL.X see the attached "XvsConnect2023Release2".
As a reminder, please always contact the IT Helpdesk when you are experiencing problems with CARL.X or CARL.Connect. We want all the problems sent to the same location so that it’s easier to identify widespread problems. IT can and does put in tickets with TLC when there are problems with these systems.
