2nd QTR Safety - Bloodborne Pathogens (REQ) - due June 30, 2023 

Why is the training important?

  • Bloodborne Pathogens is one of the annual Safety Compliance Trainings required by PEOSH (Public Employee Occupational Safety and Health) for all employees working in the public sector.
  • Learn how to identify major bloodborne diseases and symptoms.
  • Understand how pathogens are transmitted and the basics of exposure prevention and incident response and cleanup.

Approximate time to complete this course: 19(m) For your convenience, you will find this course on your 'My Required Assignments' in MetroU.​

**Please complete this course by June 30th, 2023.**


2023 Summer Reading Training (REQ) - due April 30th, 2023

Why is the training important?

  • Learn the necessary tools and information to help guests with Summer Reading, and ultimately reach our Summer Reading goals.
  • Act as an ambassador to our community, friends, and family about the 2023 Summer Reading program.
  • Get started in Beanstack, along with registering for the program and logging reading activities.

This training will consist of: A video provided by OES, a Getting Started Guide for using Beanstack, end of video acknowledgment. 

Approximate time to complete this course: 20(m) For your convenience, you will find the appropriate training (Department or Public Services) on your 'My Required Assignments' in MetroU.

**Please complete this course by April 30th, 2023.**


April 2023 - Compliance - Discipline and Discharge: Supervisors Only (REQ) - due April 30th, 2023

Why is the training important?

  • Learn when and how to discipline employees as a Manager.
  • Understand the proper steps in general discipline and discharge conversations.

This training will consist of: A short video by McAfee & Taft, with a knowledge check post video.

Approximate time to complete this course: 25(m) This training is for Supervisors Only. For your convenience, you will find it on your 'My Required Assignments' in MetroU.
