Spot a Book: Dewey Decimal System - poster

We just created a poster for Choctaw using the Spot a Book Dewey Decimal System. I've added the 11x17 version that you can print out on our Marketing Dept. downloads page (as well as here). If you would like a poster (24x36), please let me know.

Advertising and Infomercial Update

As most of you know, we have been working on filming and producing a :30 minute informercial. Victoria highlighted it in ShelfLife this month, but I wanted to let you know some of the dates that it will be on. Hopefully by booking these so early out, they will have the name of it in the program guides instead of just "paid programming"!

Google Ads

One of the new ways we marketed the Summer Reading program was through Google Adwords. It was something new we tried and we'll be doing this more frequently. I just wanted to let you know in case you have customers ask about it.  Just FYI, for June and July:

We served 129,084 ads on Google.

We had 12,761 clicks or 10%. The average click rate in Adwords is 3.17% for search ads (the website hits that say "sponsored" by them) and .46% for display (the ones over to the right).

The top performing demographic was Females 35-54.

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you. We took a hiatus (or if you're a fan of Big Brother 20, a Yatus) on advertising for August, Sept, and most of October. I'll be sharing with you where we plan on advertising for Q4 soon.

Updates to Support Resources

The How-To Guides have been updated to remove Freegal and add a section about our eBooks from EBSCO. Feel free to print these guides on demand or print and display for customers to help themselves.

The FAQ (help.metrolibrary.org) has also removed mentions of Freegal.
