Ralph Ellison's Fall Festival

Ralph Ellison's annual Fall Festival is a large family event. Participants visited a petting zoo, got their face painted, played spooky games, created one-of-a-kind crafts, and walked the runway during the costume contest. Kids also received a book, MLS backpack, candy, and snacks.

Costumes!

Those are some amazing costumes! When did this event take place, and how long was it? How many kids did you have? I would love to incorporate some of your ideas in our Halloween event next year!

RE: Costumes!

Always a fun event! It was on Oct. 26 from 1-4. We had probably 100 or more in and out despite the drizzle. This year for the crafts, we did pumpkin seed mosaics and a spider web using white yarn and black paper plates: (http://gardenvarietylibrarian.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html)
