Search for Literary Magazine Judges

The Downtown Library is hosting the Library Literary Festival on May 12th. Along with workshops, a book fair, and networking opportunities, writers from all over Metropolitan's service area will have the opportunity to be published in our second annual Literary Magazine.
If you'd like to be involved, I am in search of judges to help select the very best submissions for the magazine!
This year we have three categories:
-
short story
-
poetry
-
non-fiction essay
These categories are further divided into age groups:
-
kids (under 12)
-
teens (13-18)
-
adults (19+)
The submission page for the magazine will go live on Friday, Jan. 26th. Judges will be confirmed by Feb. 8th. I hope to send out the first round of submissions to judges on March 15th, with finalists selected by April 18th. Selected judges will be sent guidelines and a detailed timeline of the literary magazine process. The workload will depend upon the number of submissions. Each submission will be evaluated by two judges to determine its quality with a simple accepted or rejected decision.
A copy of last year's magazine should be at all 19 locations (810.809766 M5943m 2017). Check it out, if you haven't already! This magazine serves as an excellent way to involve our community and curate locally created content.
If you are interested in being a judge for this year's magazine, please email me with your category (short story, poetry, or non-fiction essay) and age (kids, teen, adults) preferences. Spots for certain areas may fill up quickly, so if you are open to judging any/all submissions, please note that as well.
Please promote the contest to anyone you think will be interested! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected] or call me at 405-606-3878.

Is all reading, meeting, and discussing for this contest to be done on work time and in need of supervisor approval?
Jim,
We are working with HUM to get an answer for you. I'm sorry for the delay!
I do not see any information on the Metro web site yet to pass on to customers. Am I missing something?
The submission page is live at http://www.metrolibrary.org/submissions! I can send marketing materials to anyone interested, but all the info is on the website. Let me know if you need anything else.
