Just a reminder – hoopla launches today!

Currently, we are allowing 4 checkouts per month. Please be open and honest with members, this is what the library can afford in order to make the service available to the whole community. For those who hit their limit early we do offer Biblioboard for indie ebooks, Overdrive for ebooks/eaudio, EBSCO for ebooks, and Freegal for music.

I downloaded the app a week or so ago and I've been super excited ever since. I haven't actually downloaded anything yet (I want to wait to see what I want to actually watch/listen to first). Do you know if the whole series counts as 1 download or is it 1 episode? Like I said, I was just browsing and not really digging, but that kind of sprang into my mind. I can't wait to tell everyone!!

That's a good question! It's by episode. So 4 episodes = 4 checkouts. Not exactly binge friendly but there are some fun series on there. I'm eyeing Wolf Hall.
I wouldn't advise members do this but if you want to stream titles to your Kindle Fire without installing the Hoopla app (titles won't stream using the Fire's built-in Silk browser), I was able to do so by installing Chrome on a Kindle Fire from this page. Again, I'm not advocating that members do this but if you want to do it for your own Fire, it's possible.
