United Way - Wow!!!

You guys are awesome! I just received word that we have surpassed our goal of $15,000 donated to the United Way by $48!!! Last year, we pledged less than half of that amount, and it's probably been more than five years since we've reached that amount. This shows that you understand how the United Way assists so many people in need. Whether it's through Positive Tomorrows (my personal favorite!), Boys & Girls Club, Homeless Alliance, Pivot (provides services to youth & families including crisis intervention, counseling, shelter, and other much-needed services to at-risk teens and adults) or Northcare, you are compassionate and want to help!
The United Way drive will continue until Friday, so if you still want to give, check your email for an email that has come from "[email protected]". This will include a link to where to donate.

I know that with Covid-19, many area United Way organizations will need more funds this year and next. This is why I upped my donation, and I'm glad that many others apparently did, too! If you haven't donated yet, I challenge you to just do a little every pay day. it's not even noticeable, yet it really adds up!
Hey all, I wanted to share an idea for how I give to the United Way without it feeling like too much of a sacrifice. While I was growing up, my dad was the Director of a United Way agency. I have now donated to that specific agency for many years in his honor/memory. The first year, I gave $1 a month. Each year since, I have added a dollar. I barely notice it coming out!
