Communication Plan: Next Steps

The committee discussed ways to continue communicating the purpose of the Alignment Project so that it is fully understood by all. 

  • A blog will be launched which will feature Alignment articles by staff members in different positions and locations.  Tim will take suggestions for contributors and topics that provide different perspectives on how the Alignment is progressing during the transition and better aligning staff, processes, and library resources to be able to achieve the goals of Library Unbound. 
  • Tim will begin a series of monthly brown bag luncheons which will be held at different locations across the system.  These will allow staff an opportunity to hear Alignment updates and ask questions during the six month transition period.

Training

  • METRO Way Training – Meaghan Hunt Wilson is leading the group developing the training.  The APC will attend a sample training and provide feedback.  Training for trainers will be offered at several locations. 
  • Technology Basics - Bobby Reed is leading the group developing the training. 

Alignment Feedback

The Tier 1 positions will be closing at the end of this week and moving into the next steps of the hiring process.  Hiring managers for open positions will be the direct supervisor unless there are multiple openings for the same position.

Alignment Progress Check/Calendar Update

The group reviewed the Alignment Work Plan for any needed updates.
