Community Libraries Report
Chris shared possible staffing models for the Community Libraries group which will include Choctaw.
Library Alignment Preparations
Julie and Jessica shared the results of the survey of libraries to identify preparations for the alignment including local training, local experience opportunities, and priority needs for system-wide training. The results will be reviewed to identify a short list of best practices.
Staff Alignment Mapping Update
After assessing the two surveys and org charts submitted by the library managers Kay provided an update by the numbers:
369 Public Services and Outreach employees need to be mapped
362 Employees completed the survey or were pre-mapped
224 Employees pre-mapped to their one choice
138 Employees had up to 4 preferences selected. Of those:
55 Employees’ first preference was unique and at their location
82 Employees’ first preference required additional information. Those include:
Employees whose first preference was not at their location
Duplicate preferences for the same position at the same location
Proposal drafts
The group discussed that there was minimal feedback from the draft proposals. We can go ahead and move forward with the proposals as a starting place for next steps including organizational charts and ideas for services.
Alignment Progress Check/Update calendar
Michele provided an update on tasks completed in the Work Plan.
