Summer Reading

The Summer Reading Committee met yesterday.  We are in good shape for the June 1 start date.  So far 4246 people have signed up.  Teresa will be the point of contact for OKCPS Summer School and Read OKC.

Resource Sheet from Homeless Alliance Workshop 

  • EPS discussed the best way to share a Resource Sheet that was provided to attendees at recent Metro trainings by the Homeless Alliance and shared with EPS by Ruth Smith, Engagement Manager at SO. 
  • Jessica will upload this document to a SharePoint Archive and share the link with all programmers via email. Engagement staff will be encouraged to post additional community resource handouts to the SharePoint Archive.

  • The EPS Steering Committee reviewed the draft FY19 budget requests document created.  

Timeline of announcements and moves

  • The Education and Program Development (EPD) Department will become the Engagement and Program Services (EPS) Department effective Friday, March 9.  
  • Jessica Gonzalez (EM II - Southern Oaks Library), Teresa Matthews (EM II - Downtown Library), and Julia Mcconnell (EM II - Edmond Library) will transfer to the EPS Department on Monday, April 9.  

EPS Steering Committee Minutes - February 26, 2018

Welcome and Overview

The meeting opened with a joint cabinet meeting of the children's, teen, and adult groups. We had an overview of EPS' outcome-based planning and evaluation plan, highlighting and summarizing the work that had been done up to this point. A discussion about what system-wide engagement encompassed followed.
