Aspen Update - A New Public Catalog on Nov. 1st!

Aspen is the new public-facing catalog which guests and staff will be using when we go live on November 1st.  It combines our physical materials from CARL.X with electronic resources for a robust public catalog (aka discovery system).

If you haven’t looked at Aspen recently, I highly recommend you check out both the main and kids’ catalogs.  It’s more than just our physical resources…it also includes Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy titles as well as several other electronic resources.  You can also search for articles from databases (use the dropdown search, change from “in Catalog” to “in Articles and Databases.”  Lists and events can be searched too!

The Implementation Team will do two introductory training sessions at SDD and the full training video will be in MetroU shortly after for all public-facing staff to complete (and anyone else interested in learning the features).  In addition, the implementation team will be visiting the branches during their October meetings and offering “office hours” on Teams to answer questions.
