United Way's Payroll Deduction

It's time for United Way’s payroll deduction campaign!

This year, hundreds of thousands of our neighbors will need valuable assistance from the programs provided by United Way's Partner Agencies. The United Way campaign is our chance to make a difference in our communities by helping United Way create lasting changes in people's lives. We know that we all benefit when a child succeeds in school, when families are financially stable, and when people are healthy.

Each of you should have gotten an email Monday from the United Way with a link to begin the process of payroll deductions. The link included on that email is unique to your user credentials, so please do not forward it to another employee.

United Way has made it easy to set up the payroll deduction process. You’ll just submit your annual salary into the calculator, and figure out what percentage works for you! You can also customize your start date and specify the exact deduction per pay period, and there is an option to just have a one-time deduction.

You’ll also have your choice of where your money goes. You can identify amounts of money to go toward United Way’s partner agencies. Some of those that you may recognize include the Homeless Alliance, 211, the Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma County, Calm Waters, Pivot Inc, Positive Tomorrows, Community Literacy Centers and many others.

Thank you to those who have already participated in the 2023 United Way campaign by donating to the raffles. Our goal this year is to contribute $15,000 to United Way of Central Oklahoma.

A special congratulations to all the winners of the raffles! In case you missed it, we announced the winners of the final baskets at Staff Day Oct. 9. Congratulations to Heidi Port, winner of the Christmas Basket, David Leader, winner of the Artsy Basket, and Lisa Garcia, winner of BOTH the Learning and Adventure Basket and the bonus prize. We raised a total of $990 from our raffles!

The United Way has also sent us posters to display at our library locations to advertise resources for those in need. Two 11x17 posters will be routed to each library. We ask that you display these posters on community boards at your location.

Thank you again,

The United Way Committee
