LEAP Reminder and Update

There is still time to submit your LEAP application and complete LEAP recommendations!  The submission deadline for applications is end of the day on Sunday, December 15.  Supervisors and Peers who have been asked to submit a recommendation - the deadline for these is end of the day on Tuesday, December 17.  Please remember that applications cannot be considered complete without the recommendation forms.

The LEAP Planning Committee and Senior Management Group will be making the selections and we are all very pleased to have received so many excellent submissions, with more still coming in.  Because of the number of applications and because we want to be very thorough and consider each one carefully, the application review process will take longer than originally anticipated.  We now anticipate that notifications to applicants will be sent out by the middle of January.  Currently, we are working to refine the process that we will use to make selections and the application review committee members are beginning to review applications and recommendations.  The LEAP Planning Committee is also working on more detailed plans and identifying presenters so we will be ready for the first LEAP class to begin.

Thank you to everyone who has submitted an application, written a recommendation, or just expressed their enthusiasm or support for the project.  We are excited about the potential of the Library staff and eager to get the program started!
