Overview
This workshop will provide the knowledge and tools necessary to better assist customers with their technology needs in the library. The technology training in this workshop is applicable to both customers using our public computers and those who bring their own laptops.
Objectives
Upon completion of this workshop, staff will be able to:
• Help customers make a PC reservation or make it for them
• Assist customers with all basic functions of email
• Make a recommendation for a specific email provider based on the needs of the individual customer
• Save, upload, and print from a flash drive
• Use all functions of our copy/fax machines
• Recommend PrinterOn to customers who bring their own laptop/smartphone
• Troubleshoot common computer problems
• Feel confident when helping a customer with any technology or computer problem

This will benefit many staff that may need basic technology training. It will give confidence to MLS employees that may need a refresher and teach new valuable skill sets to others. It feels rewarding to proceed confidently when helping customers with their many different tech needs.
