United Way 2017: Let’s Play it Forward

Goal: Help local non-profits by raising $15 thousand for United Way

We are entering that time of year again – the season of giving! As we approach the holidays consider our library members and local non-profits they may utilize regularly. The United Way of Central Oklahoma supports these local organizations.

You may have noticed an envelope and United Way forms on your desk last week – please take the time to look these over and consider helping the United Way. The library does not receive funds from the United Way, but many local non-profits do! Last year the library raised just under $15 thousand for United Way. This year’s goal is to break $15 thousand.

Ways you can get employees at your location excited about the United Way Campaign:

Make a goal!

If each person from your team turns in their UW gift form…

• Have a staff party
• Ask to do a Jeans/Literary inspired dress day
• Allow employees to “pie” their supervisor
• Have a raffle for those that participate
• Have a gift exchange for those that participate
