New website coming soon – very soon!

As many of you may already know, in June we contracted with Library Market to create a new calendar and meeting room software site with an original plan of launching that in December. A few months later in November, we decided to hire them for the design and development of an updated MLS website and an Oklahoma Digital Collections website. This meant a delay for the calendar and meeting room piece so that it could be more smoothly integrated into the website and all roll out at the same time, but it is also a significant expansion to the project.

The one big challenge in this plan is the timeline. Our contract with Evanced, who hosts our current calendar and meeting room software, will conclude at the end of March so the new one must be in place before then. The downside is that we have a very short timeline for us to provide the necessary input to Library Market for the redesign of the website. But the good news is that we will have a new, modern, easily-maintained website by the end of March! In February and March, we will have training for those who will be using the calendar and meeting room software as well as those who will be regularly adding website content.

We have several teams working on the project and all are being led by Morgan Jones in her role as Manager of Planning and Assessment. The teams working on the website are:
