Literary Voices a success because of You!

Last night the Library Endowment Trust hosted their 17th annual Literary Voices fundraising event to benefit the Metropolitan Library System. Author Kristin Hannah celebrated her birthday at the event and then gave US a gift by donating her speaking fee for the evening. Each guest also received a signed paperback copy of The Great Alone.

The reason I am sharing this news is because at multiple times in the evening, guests approached me to thank me for all the work we are doing in the community, to tell me how much they love their local library, or to share a story of how a public library made a difference in their lives. This praise is not for me - it's for YOU! Thank you all, especially our front line staff, for all that you do to make such a positive impact in our community.
