Library Card Sign-Up Month Final Results

Print

Library Card Sign-Up Month has come to a close and the numbers are in! Each of our libraries did an INCREDIBLE job promoting our library cards and we are proud of the results.

We had 2,662 cardholders who had been inactive for a year or more begin using their library cards in the month of September. We also signed up an impressive 3,910 new customers for library cards in September 2018, down slightly from 4,235 in 2017.

Two Metro customers were drawn to receive a Kindle Fire, Dixie from Almonte and Meghan from Northwest. Dixie said she was excited to get using her new Kindle. Meghan just moved in with her aunt, who homeschools Meghan and her other two children, and she said the new Kindle will give each child more time to read eBooks since they devour reading material.

Congratulations to Capitol Hill Library staff, who had the largest percentage increase in library card sign-ups compared to September of 2017. If you would like to know how your individual library did in the campaign, you are welcome to email [email protected]
