What you'll learn:

The Oklahoma Department of Libraries is presenting a webinar on Trauma-Informed Librarianship. This webinar will focus on how to provide trauma-informed library services to both library staff and patrons. Unfortunately, over the last year, we have seen multiple violent episodes at our libraries. Speaker Beth Wahler will address some of the real incidents that have taken place in Oklahoma and provide insights into how to manage staff and patron trauma after stressful events. She will also demonstrate how to interact with customers who may have past trauma that is influencing their communication and behavior in the library. There will be a Q&A section at the end where you can ask questions about specific scenarios or concerns.
