FREE Health Screenings and Flu Shots from Wellness Works!

Health Screenings and Flu Shots are available to ALL employees, both full- and part-time, at absolutely no cost to you.  

The Library System provides these services as a benefit of the Wellness Works Program.

Health Screenings take approximately 15 minutes to complete.  A health professional will take your blood pressure, heart rate, height, weight, and waist circumference, then administer a quick finger stick blood test.  Your results will be available within a few minutes and will consist of the following information:

- Total Cholesterol
- HDL Cholesterol
- LDL Cholesterol
- Total Cholesterol/HDL Ratio
- Triglycerides
- Glucose
- A1C

It is preferred that you fast for the Health Screening -- no food or drink (other than water) for at least 8 hours prior to your screening time.  Please drink water!  Being well hydrated will help with the finger stick process.

Flu Shots are being offered at all locations this year (including Staff Day!), but we ask that you register so Walgreens knows how many to bring each day. 

Can't make it to one of the scheduled locations?  We offer Offsite Health Screenings and Flu Shot Vouchers so you can have access to those services -- still completely FREE -- on your own schedule!  Fill out the registration form(s) of your choice and look for those options.  You will be contacted soon.

Health Screenings are now worth 150 Wellness Points for the 2018-2019 Wellness Year!  If you've never participated in the Wellness Points program before, this is a great way to get started!
