Experience Passes

Good news! We will soon have two more venues to partner with for more Experience Passes. Starting on November 1, we will be offering Experience Passes to the Oklahoma History Center and it's affiliated museums and historic sites and Skeletons: the Museum of Osteology.
While the rules are still the same, they have a few differences.
Oklahoma History Center:
Like the OKCMOA passes, the Oklahoma History Center enables five (5) people free general admission per voucher. However, the voucher can be used at all 24 of the Oklahoma Historical Society museums and affiliated sites across the state besides just the awesome Oklahoma History Center. These sites can be located here. (We've included this information on the voucher.) Think of how fun this would be for a family to explore Oklahoma’s unique history of Native culture, pioneers, aviation, commerce and more.
Skeletons: the Museum of Osteology
We've partnered a lot over the summers with the Skeleton museum on programs, and this has been one of them most frequently asked about Experience Pass (they're skeletons! How cool is that!). The Skeleton museum pass enables two (2) adults and two (children) free general admission to the museum. This museum features over 800 specimens on display, including over 350 REAL skeletons from animals from all different corners of the world.
Here's the timeline of getting the passes into the ILS and distributed:
September 29 – Passes and kits received in CSD
September 29-October 1 – Catalog records created and added to CarlX; records are suppressed in the catalog
October 4 – Barcode labels printed and items inventoried into CarlX
October 5-October 21 – Passes processed and prepared for routing
October 22 – Passes routed to libraries
October 25 – methods and date for announcing new venues to customers
November 1 – date that the new passes start; passes are unsuppressed in the catalog
We hope in the next year to continue finding partnerships to offer Experience Passes. Please ask any of us on the Experience Pass committee any questions you might have!
