Updates to the OverDrive Page

Here are some recent updates to our OverDrive page:

• Titles in the Featured Titles collection at the top of the page now display the title, creator, format, borrow/hold, and wish list functions. If not all titles are immediately displayed, a SEE ALL link appears.

• The Subjects page is now organized by audience level for all subjects available in our OverDrive collection. (Note: We are aware that over 900 titles are currently cataloged as fiction and nonfiction and we're working with OverDrive on this issue.)

• The look of the search feature at the top of all pages has been updated with a search icon and search bar in desktop and tablet view. In the navigation, the word "Search" was added next to the icon to help users find the option quickly and easily.

• A “Back to main collection” link has been added to eReading Rooms for easy navigation back to the main collection. It’s located above the logo when viewing the catalog on a desktop/laptop, and listed as the first link in the menu when accessing the catalog on a mobile device:

• Links for creator names for titles on all Account pages (e.g., Loans, Holds, Wish List) have been added. This allows a user to click a creator’s name from any of those pages for easy access to a list of other titles available by that author, narrator, etc.
• Titles with missing cover images will no longer display on the home page for improved presentation. When viewing the entire collection (through the "see all" link or by clicking into a collection), all titles will display regardless of whether a cover image is present.

Coming soon...

• In the OverDrive app, the OverDrive Read and OverDrive Listen formats will be hidden on the Loans page, the "Formats" section of the details page, search filters, and advanced search, except where OverDrive Read or Listen are the only available formats (e.g. read-alongs). In those cases, "Read now" and "Listen now" action buttons will be updated to say "Read in browser" and "Listen in browser" wherever they appear (both in and out of the app). 
• Users will be prompted to log in less often. Moving forward, unless the user signs out of their account, they will stay logged in for a longer time period.
