Please complete the Winter Reading 2025 training module assigned to all staff in MetroU. The resources below are in addition to that required training.

Note for Supervisors

Supervisors, make sure that staff at your location are trained in Beanstack in case guests drop off their bingo card at your location or need help navigating Beanstack. Staff should enter information from cards into Beanstack as cards are received. Also, please make sure that staff know where completed cards are being stored until the end of the program. Once the program has ended, all cards can be shredded and recycled. You do not need to route cards to OES.

Getting Started in Beanstack Guide for All Staff

If you are a new staff member who did not utilize Beanstack for Summer Reading 2024, follow the steps below so that you can help guests log their Winter Reading Challenge reading in Beanstack. If you are a staff member with an active Beanstack account, practice logging reading prior to January 1.

  • Visit: http://metrolibrary.beanstack.com.  
  • Sign up for an account (click on Register as an Individual) or log in to your existing account using your @metrolibrary.org email address.
    • Only users with an @metrolibrary.org email address can access the staff reading account. If you have not signed up for an account using your @metrolibrary.org email address, please do so and email [email protected] to update your permissions. 
      • Because we are using the same system as we did for Summer Reading in previous years, your account will still be active within Beanstack. 
      • Don’t remember your password? That’s okay, use the 'forgot your password' feature to reset your password.
