Commemorative Summer Reading 2023 T-shirts Available to Order

This year's Summer Reading teen volunteers had the opportunity to design their Summer Reading teen volunteer recognition t-shirts. We received 7 creative entries and 1 winner was selected by the Staff and Volunteer Engagement Summer Reading Subcommittee to be featured on this year's recognition t-shirts. Congratulations to our talented winner, Jacey Van Der Noord! Jacey is a teen volunteer at The NW Library.
 

Summer Reading Training 2023

Introductions – Emily

Subcommittee Reports (detailed minutes attached) 

Library (In-Library & On-Site) Engagement – Kristin – Everyone tasked with 2-4 ideas for toolkit and 2-4 items for displays/passive programs. Goal is to have toolkit ready the first week of March. Supply catalog will be done by end of January for libraries to order from in mid-February. Contacting mural artist for collaborative project possibility.

Summer Reading 2023 Subcommittee Announcement

Thank you to everyone who applied to be on a Summer Reading subcommittee. Our new committee members are listed below. We are ready to start planning for a successful 2023 program!

OES had 4 Summer Reading Subcommittees with 10 vacancies for the upcoming year. Committees will start meeting November 14. Thank you for supporting your coworkers as they contribute to this huge initiative.

Thank you again for a successful Summer Reading 2022! As we close the chapter on last summer, we are already looking ahead to start work on planning Summer Reading 2023. To help us accomplish our goal of creating a community of readers and library users, we need your help. The team that plans our Summer Reading program changes every year, with guidance and leadership from Outreach & Engagement Services. 

 

OES has 4 Summer Reading Subcommittees with 10 vacancies for the upcoming year. Listed below are the SR Subcommittees, their duties, and the openings for your participation:
