Budget
- The EPS Steering Committee reviewed the draft FY19 budget requests document created.
Timeline of announcements and moves
- The Education and Program Development (EPD) Department will become the Engagement and Program Services (EPS) Department effective Friday, March 9.
- Jessica Gonzalez (EM II - Southern Oaks Library), Teresa Matthews (EM II - Downtown Library), and Julia Mcconnell (EM II - Edmond Library) will transfer to the EPS Department on Monday, April 9.
- These announcements will be presented to Leadership Team on Wednesday, March 7, and then the Library Managers on Thursday, March 8. An all staff announcement will be made on Friday, March 9.
Discussion about presenting OBPE to Library Managers
- Melody Kellogg and staff from EPS will present to Library Managers at the March 7 LM meeting scheduled to take place at the Village Library regarding Outcome-Based Planning and Evaluation and staffing updates for the EPS Department.
Upcoming Cabinet meetings
- EPS staff will send invites to all Cabinet members for a March meeting.
- The EPS Steering Committee discussed Rondia's mentorship plan idea, which is based off the staff mentorship model being piloted by SR Volunteer Supervisors this summer. The EPS Steering Committee agreed to revisit Rondia's suggestion after the completion of SR.
Review work started by Workforce Development/ Adult Cabinet
- The Adult Cabinet met on February 19 to begin the Workforce Development project led by Ashley Welke. The cabinet is currently gathering information to assess community needs. The cabinet will meet again on March 6 at Ralph Ellison.
OneCard
- Moving forward, OneCard will be overseen and assessed by the EPS Department. Jessica Gonzalez and Teresa Matthews will assume ownership of this system-wide service and work together to help assess its impact in the community.
Miscellaneous
- The EPS Steering Committee discussed inviting Liz Caplan to an upcoming Monday meeting to discuss data gathering and her experience with community assessments. Emily Williams will send Liz a formal invite for the EPS Steering Committee's March 12 meeting.
- EPS will create an official email address ([email protected]) for general EPS related inquiries to be sent. Emails sent to this account will be discussed weekly by the EPS Department.
