Leadership Lunches

Describe Project and Impact:
A monthly bookclub and lunch for the working professional
Project Description and Expected Outcomes:
We would partner with the top employers in the metro for promotion and advertising. Each month, we'd feature a book on leadership, management, change, career growth. We would have a book discussion with boxed lunches in our libraries. This initiative would bring in a new audience and increase circulation. It elevates the library as a business hub and a place to seek expertise. At the end of the series, it would be great to bring in a speaker to the downtown auditorium for a lunch session - perhaps and author of one of the books (which is what the $10,000 cost is for in the budget, that would be optional and could be higher or even sponsored).
Why should we select this project?:
It gives us the opportunity to work with local businesses (they could sponsor the lunch and we could invite their executives to help facilitate the conversations - as well as some faculty from local businesses).
Constraints, Limitations, or Dependencies:
We may need to eat in our libraries... :) We'd need to order and provide the books in advance and make sure we had the digital version. We would also need the partnerships with local businesses.
