Type of Pilot Project:
Public Service
Describe Project and Impact:
Divide quiet reading room up and add study areas
Project Description and Expected Outcomes:
The Quiet reading room at MC is huge but space could be used more effectively by splitting the room into smaller areas - maintain a portion for quiet reading area and split the rest into study rooms for groups or individuals to use. Outcome is more groups would come to use the library space for studying in small groups and tutors/counselors would have quiet areas for instruction with their students/clients.
Why should we select this project?:
To meet demand by groups for study areas, where they can talk and collaborate on projects. To meet requests and needs of counselors and tutors for quiet private areas.
