Pride month is a month dedicated to the Queer community. It originally began after the Stonewall Riots, a series of gay liberation protests in 1969 led by activists like Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and Stromé DeLarverie. Today, Pride Month continues to acknowledge the historical strides made for LGBTQIA+ rights while also acknowledging the work still yet to be done.
