Metrolibrary Art website

The Development Office is assisting in the creation of the “Metrolibrary Art” website which will allow customers to view images and information about the many significant works of art in libraries across the system. The website will launch early in 2013 with a gallery of photos and background information about David Phelps’s “Invisible Royalty” sculpture at the Ralph Ellison Library, Solomon Bassoff’s sculptures at the Northwest Library, Joe Slack’s “Cover to Cover” sculptures at the Southern Oaks Library, Wilson Hurley’s “Summer Skies” triptych at the Midwest City Library, and many others. The site will inform customers of opportunities for cultural enrichment offered by the libraries in addition to books, computers, and programs.
