With the assistance of Outreach, Development, and Planning, NW hosted the Spoticus Breakfast to introduce the new online SR program in May of 2014. This event provided the opportunity for customers to view a tutorial on the new online program, sign up for summer reading, and ask questions of trained staff to help them use these resources effectively.

Web Services created a general landing page to incorporate the most important digital resources for our customers. This landing page is now one of the most visited webpages on Metrolibrary.org. The downloads page breaks down the services from eBooks & Audiobooks, music and video, magazines, languages and some of our other favorite resources (that are free and help customers continue lifelong learning).

This article in the July info magazine introduced the Zinio database to our customers. We compared access to Zinio to the old time street corner newsstand to let people know how many magazines are available to them for free via Zinio.

The Development Office is assisting in the creation of the “Metrolibrary Art” website which will allow customers to view images and information about the many significant works of art in libraries across the system.
