The Midwest City Library screens the documentary Grace about the writer Grace Paley. 2010/March
The MLS eMedia page becomes a gateway to over 15,000 free public domain titles from the Project Gutenberg collection. 2011/April
The MLS Friends of the Library group receives a National Philanthropy Day Award for Outstanding Fundraising Organization. 2010/October
The Native American Festival was held at the Downtown Library on October 4. Over 350 people were in attendance to see Native American dancers and artists, participate in craft activities, and taste samples of Native American foods. 2009/October
The Norick Foundation commissions a sculpture 4 U 2 LEARN to be placed in the children's area. 2009/February
The Oklahoma Gazette writes an article promoting Teen Read Month. 2010/October

The Ralph Ellison Library begins a GED study program in that will carry on into 2011. 2010/September
The Ralph Ellison Library holds a month long College Preparation Series. 2010/September
The Ralph Ellison Library hosts a Guitar Hero tournament. There were 24 contestants, a large audience of family and friends, and a Thunder basketball player presenter. 2010/March
The Ralph Ellison Library hosts Cards for Oklahoma Troops program for customers to make cards to send our troops overseas. 2010/July
The Ralph Ellison Library re-opens to the public after a year-long renovation. 2009/December
The Richter Uzer Duo presented classical guitar and cello music from Led Zeplin to Rimsky-Korsakov at 5 library locations. 2010/January
The Rose State College's class of Family & Consumer Science invites Outreach's Kelley Riha to speak about library services and give a story time demonstration to an audience of day care providers. 2010/April
The Southern Oaks Library book club, providing a life long learning link for adults and seniors, celebrates nine years and begins it's tenth. 2011/October
The staff at the Capitol Hill Library celebrated Customer Appreciation Month by preparing and distributing bookmarks that stated our appreciation to all our customer. 2009/October
The staff of the Capitol Hill Library interacted with several local schools to promote the library to parents, teachers and students. 2010/February
The Sugar-Free Allstars entertain a school choir group during noon toons. The password to view the video is January. 2009/March
The system-wide Summer at the Library program registers 4,056 teenagers, setting a record for teen participation. 2010/July
