The Captiol Hill Library conducted their annual open house on Saturday, December 4th. Customers enjoyed free photos with Santa, free books, arts & crafts as well as live music. Over 800 customers attended. 2010/December
The children's area of the Downtown Library featured a display about computers and the internet. 2009/September
The Choctaw Library holds a children's bookmark art contest 2009/July
The Choctaw Library served as an evacuation site as wildfires threatened many homes in the community. They stayed open late to accommodate the evacuees. 2009/April
The class Using Photographs with Computers at the Village Library teaches customers how to transfer and email pictures on a computer. 2009/November
The Daily Oklahoman runs an article highlighting a fitness boot camp program at the Ralph Ellison Library. 2011/January
The Daily Oklahoman runs an article with Hispanic book recommendations by MLS librarians Taryn Kingery and Charla Aucone. 2010/May
The Del City Library formed a partnership with the Oklahoma School of Metaphysics. A representative came out and conducted a program titled "Heal Your Mind and Body." This program was well received by the Del City community . 2010/July
The Del City Library rearranges furniture to provide an atmosphere more conducive to reading and relaxing. 2010/January
The Development Department obtains a grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation to fund new landscaping at the Village Library. They now have a minature Magnolia at the entrance along with 8 other new trees and 22 scrubs around the grounds. 2011/May
The digital bookmobile visits the Del City and Midwest City libraries to educate customers about our e-resources. 2010/May
The Downtown Library began a Bilingual Story Time for families which incorporates Spanish and English into a Family friendly learning experience. 2010/May
The Downtown Library begins hosting a series of "Find It: Legal Resourses at Your Library." This first month dealing with Preventing Identity Theft. 2009/August
The Downtown Library begins reviewing a new database at monthly staff meetings 2008/October
The Downtown Library creates monthly displays each month that feature the various media formats available in the library 2008/November
The Downtown Library gives a tour of the facility to a group of educators and informs them of the many services provided. 2010/September
The Downtown Library has offered three to four computer classes each month. Classes have included Internet Fraud, Facebook, Resumes and Job Searching, Internet Searching, Blogging, Excel, and Email. 2010/January
The Downtown Library held it's 2nd Annual Asian Festival and it was attended by 300 people. 2009/February
The Downtown Library holds a gingerbread holiday open house. 2009/December
The Downtown Library hosted six different art displays through out the school year from local schools in our service area: Wiley Post Elementary had two displays, Central Elementary School of Art, Classen High School, and a local Homeschool group. 2010/May
The Downtown Library hosted the Asian Festival on February 6. There were over 350 in attendance to view performances, taste foods, and participate in craft activities. 2010/February
The Downtown Library hosts a holiday open house to feature its meeting room spaces to the downtown business community 2008/December
The Downtown Library hosts John & Hank Green’s Nerdfighters Tour to a standing room only audience of teens 2008/November
The Downtown Library hosts the Dear Mr. President photo exhibit in conjunction with the inauguration 2009/January
The Downtown Library hosts their 3rd Annual Teen after dark party, this year celebrating the popular teen book, Twilight 2008/October
