The Bethany Library provided a place for the Bethany Centennial Book Committee to sell copies of their Bethany history books during the fall of 2009 and during our Bethany Centennial Art Premier on February 6, 2010. 2010/February

The Build Your Own Business series begins for the for the fall at several libraries. This seminar sponsored by the US Small Business Administration and SCORE 2009/September
The Bus-eum 3, a traveling museum in a bus, presents artifacts, texts, and media describing the experiences of the 380,000 housed in POW camps in the Midwest from 1943 - 1946. 2009/November
The Business Office completes the V2R program. 2007/November
The Capitol Hill Library appeared in the December 2010 OK Gazette in a photograph and article describing the Gingerbread Village constructed by library staff. This article was shared with customers who expressed a feeling of pride in their library. 2011/January
The Capitol Hill Library celebrated its annual Halloween event on October 30. The event featured Magician Steve Crawford, pumpkin decorating, and treats for the young goblins. Over 200 customers attended this event. 2010/October
The Capitol Hill Library created an intricate Gingerbread Holiday Village for display throughout the month of December. 2010/November
The Capitol Hill Library experienced record attendance for activities offered during Spring Break. There was a different event available each day,with activities appealing to all ages. Overall there were over 300 participants. 2011/March
The Capitol Hill Library is able to use its new meeting room to host the December library commission meeting for the first time in over 10 years. 2010/December
The Capitol Hill Library is thrilled to see significant increases in Summer at the Library participation. Halfway through the summer, 470 children and 108 teens have participated, and more of them than ever are reaching goal 2! 2010/June
The Capitol Hill library offered a party celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss. This event featured arts and crafts relating to Dr. Seuss along with special cupcakes containing an edible Dr. Seuss hat. 2011/February
The Capitol Hill Library offered a School's Out bash on May 19th which featured a DJ and included information about summer events at the library. 2010/May
The Capitol Hill Library offered a special class for adults on soap making. Several customer enjoyed the history and uniqueness of this craft. 2010/February
The Capitol Hill Library offered the annual Chocolate Festival on February 16, with an attendance of 26. The young people in attendance enjoyed chocolate treats and played games including bingo. 2011/February
The Capitol Hill Library offered the Fancy Dancers event on Oct. 6th. 91 customers attended and were given customer appreciation bookmarks. 2009/October
The Capitol Hill Library participated in the annual Hispanic Expo at the State fairgrounds. Staff and volunteers interacted with over 600 visitors and provided free books, games, and fun. The event is sponsored by the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. 2011/July
The Capitol Hill Library partnered with Generations Health Care and offered flu shots to 308 customers. Coffee and tea were provided along with customer appreciation bookmarks. 2009/October
The Capitol Hill Library purchases an Xbox Kinect. This new electronic device works with a projector to transform participants into an actual story. Our young customers have added this to our monthly game fests. 2011/March
The Capitol Hill Library recently purchased an Xbox Kinect. This motion sensitive gaming platform is to be used along with our new projector for library Game Fests. This new equipment will be utilized for the first time on March 10, 2011. 2011/February
The Capitol Hill library was featured on television during the evening news. Our library was designated as a "Cool Place." One of the few social locations in the area where people can come to escape the heat. 2011/June
