Items for Discussion:

· Introductions of members and guests.

· Assign committee member to take/post meeting minutes (George Tocco)

· Update & Discussion on workers’ compensation injuries (Jeff): Group discussed the following:

o Group discussed specific incidents since last meeting.

o Discussed about ADA Service Animals and Libraries

· Review and Discuss Completed Quarterly Safety Checklists: Any issues?

o No concerns noted on anything.

· Review Incidents/Accidents: 2 new vehicle accidents. 8 new customer incidents to report.

o Went over incidents since last meeting.

· New Incident form for Incidents/Accidents:

o Insurica has recommended using a new form.

o Jeff sent everyone a sample to review. Moving forward with posting the new version on the Intranet for everyone to start using.

o We are able to email back and send additional information if warranted.

o Looking to make the adding additional information as a fillable box to the form.

o Possibly looking into making the form fillable on the intranet.

· New Safety Checklist Forms for Departments: Ongoing project.

o Should be done soon, to be reviewed by Safety Committee.

· Fire Drills/Evacuation Plans—Ongoing project.

o Still in progress

· Drug Use in the Library by Guests—Ongoing project.

o Still in progress

· Chemical Inventory Lists

o need to get these updated. They have been sent out recently in mid-May to all the locations/departments to complete. Deadline for returning completed forms is Friday, 6/28.

· Glove use by employees—How do we want to handle this now post-COVID? Is it a good practice to continue?

o Discussed the feasibility of whether or not to wear gloves at all times on desk when handling materials.

· Safety Meeting Topic for June/July

o Service Dog Education for the June and July safety topics.

· Audits/walk-through: Will be conducting walk-through here today.

· Next Safety Committee Mtg. on Wed. 7/31/2024 @ 2:00pm at Warr Acres. Subsequent meetings will be on 9/25 (at Almonte) & 11/20 (at Choctaw).
