- Will have list of drawing prizes soon from DVS
- Meeting with Barnes & Noble next week
- OKC Energy donation – free tickets will be set out for customers, will be given out during summer reading (not connected to a goal)
- Pay it Forward
- Need to clarify that the default setting for the record is “no” and that staff and volunteers will only need to mark it “yes” if a customer decides to pay their fine waiver forward.
- Use of monitors for Summer reading
- Emily spoke to library staff to confirm USB ports and accessibility. The next step is to test them physically.
- The extension libraries do not have monitors. They may need something like a photo frame.
- General questions arose about the monitor slideshow: How many photos? What size USB device do we need to purchase? Should we include promo PDFs (reformatted into JPGs) of library programs? What should the ratio be of public photos, systemwide photos, library photos, and promo photos? We want to think about our goals for this specific part of Summer Reading and make sure they are reflected in the final product.
- Bookplates
- 6 logos will fit on 1 bookplate and look good. The committee discussed the format of the bookplates and talked about how to distribute to those libraries that would need less if the bookplate stickers came in rolls of 500.
- Fine Waivers
- The committee discussed how to properly record fine waivers with the new circulation systems. The probable plan will be to record these through CarlX and not POS.
