Safety Committee Meeting Minutes for April 10, 2012

Discussion:

After review of the last meeting minutes, Denise and Kay reported that they have not met to revise SH640 of the safety policy.  They will schedule a time to meet before the our next committee meeting.

Denise reviewed the training statistics for the first quarter.  To date, two employees have not completed the required safety training for the quarter.  We currently have 480+ employees.  100% of new hires have completed required safety training.

Year to date, we have two reportable Worker’s Comp. injuries

Patrick reported that the book move to Northwest has gone smoothly and without injuries.

Kay talked about the upcoming moves at Del City, Warr Acres and Southern Oaks.  This is a good time for everyone to review safe lifting procedures and stay aware of safe work practices during these moves.

The Hope Health Newsletter and Top Safety Newsletter have been renewed for another year.  Both of these publications are routed to all staff for review and qualify for safety training minutes.

No new business was discussed.  A facility inspection of the Service Center followed the discussions.

The committee found the following deficiencies:

The Safety Manual and MSDS in the Maintenance Shop have not been updated with current information.  Lanny will correct these two manuals immediately.  All other documentation and postings were up-to-date.
