Web Services findings

  1. Goal 3/Pay-it-forward: creating a yes/no option in Summer Reader seems most convenient for tracking purposes.
  2. Simplebooth for Celebration Station photos: easier & more cost effective, better for staff time
  3. Will get recommendations from Kellie

Drawing gifts will be awarded throughout the summer, for multiple reasons, including attending a program. Can we track program attendance in Summer Reading for awarding those drawing gifts?

  1. Erin talked to NW staff about options & methods
  2. Self-marking might lead to fraud
  3. Winner needs to be program participant? LaVetta will talk to Kay
  4. Ask winner to sign up if not already a participant
  5. Staff should send winners’ names to OUT

eNewsletter & recommended reading lists

  • Summer book selection team (Kristin Williamson, Emily Williams, Amy Upchurch, LaVetta Dent) met with Janet to discuss discounts and vendors. Team will continue to report on progress.

Book plates

  1. Instead of stickers on the covers of the books, volunteers will apply a book plate when a goal 1 or goal 2 book is awarded.
  2. LaVetta will meet with DVS to discuss details.

Marketing Pieces

  • OUT will work on the required language, LaVetta will post for Kim once finished
    1. School postcard – double-sided with English on one side and Spanish on the other
    2. Library oversized bookmark – double-sided with English on one side and Spanish on the other
    3. Posters
    4. Fine Waivers
    5. Book Plates

Post-it book samples for the adult Goal 1 and Goal 2 prizes.
