Today we begin the 4th day of using MyMetrolibrary and this update will cover the 'Human Resources' area on the Intranet.  One of the most accessed areas on the old Intranet was the Human Resources section with information ranging from Employee Benefits to Processes related to Worker’s Compensation.  MyMetrolibrary has reorganized all this important  information into one location for your convenience.  Let’s take a look at what’s available under the new 'Human Resources' section:

  • When you first visit the Human Resources tab, you will see a listing of the Most Recently added Human Resources topics.  This is another great feature to keep staff members informed of what has been recently updated.
  • There are also several drop-down menus providing easier access to the information you need. Such as:
    • Benefits (Also features the most recently added Benefit News and Publications)
      • Disability/Long-Term Care
      • Life Insurance
      • Medical/Dental/Prescription Plan
      • Vision Plan
      • Flexible Benefits
      • Wellness Works!
      • FMLA
      • Leave
      • Retirement
      • Parking & Transportation Reimbursement
      • Other Benefits
      • Benefit Forms & Documents (a full listing of documents and forms related to Benefits)
      • Contact Benefits (emails the appropriate person based on the topic selected)
      • Benefit FAQs (coming soon!)
    • Emergency Information – lists emergency related topics
    • Employment Notices – listing of important employment notices from the State and Federal Government.
    • HIPAA – Privacy Rules and a listing of all HIPAA related forms and documents.
    • Internal Job Postings – links to the internal job listings.
    • Safety - (also shows the most recently added Safety News and Topics)
      • Safety Training – Outlines quarterly safety requirements and links to the required 1st & 3rd Quarter Safety Training and a link to the 2nd & 4th Quarter Safety Training Form.
        • New Employee Safety Training – lists the required Safety Training for all new employees.
      • Safety Training Library -  Link to the collection of safety-related materials managed by Human Resources
      • Safety Forms & Documents – A listing of all safety related forms and documents.
      • Safety Manual - Lists the following safety topics:
        • Safety Policy
        • Emergency Operating Manual
        • Safety & Health Program
        • Safety Assigned Responsibility
        • Safety Training Requirements
        • Exposure Control Program
        • Hazard Communication
        • Lockout/Tagout Program

As you can see, the Human Resources section is full of great information.  The hope was, by combining all of the Human Resources information in one location improved the ease in which you can locate and use the information.
