Day 10

Today, we’ll cover the basics of the MyMetrolibrary login.  With MyMetrolibrary, you have a specific login that will allow you to view special content, make and read comments, make forum posts, and contribute content.    Please note a login is not required to view most of content on our site. A login, however, is required to make comments on the content (such as meeting minutes or publications), to contribute to the forum, order supplies, titles from the lending library, and view special content such as the Barred and Banned list.

All you would need to do to login is click Site Login (beside the lock) at the top of MyMetrolibrary.  You will be asked for your username and password.

  • Your username is the first part of your metrolibrary.org email address, for example, [email protected], his login would be tjones.  This is also the same username structure you use for the MetroU LMS.
  • Your password is:  library123 (instructions to change are below)
  • A Remember Me check box (optional)
  • Click the Log in button to proceed

When you first login, you’ll see your personal landing page.   Let’s start from the top and work our way down:

  • At the top, your username will be in large blue letters
  • Then, you’ll see four tabs:  View | Edit | Orders | Track
  • The View Tab lists all of your account information:
    • First and Last Name
    • Location
    • Position
    • Birthday
    • Anniversary
    • History
      • Order History
      • Member History
  • Edit will allow you to edit certain parts of your user profile
    • Current password
    • Email address
    • Password (editable)
    • Confirm Password (editable)
    • Location
  • Orders allows you to view any orders made to the Marketing Promotional Supplies, Tech Processing Supplies or Volunteer Recognition Items
  • You’ll also see on the right, Add Content to Site (we’ll cover this more in-depth on Friday)

Now that you know how to login, here are some more tricks.

Change Password

  • Log into MyMetrolibrary
  • Click Edit
  • Change Password and Confirm Password
  • Click Save

Log Out

  • Scroll to the very bottom of MyMetrolibrary
  • Click Log out

Get to Account Settings after logging in and visiting other pages

  1. Visit MyMetrolibrary
  2. Scroll to the very bottom of MyMetrolibrary
  3. Click My Account
