I like what Staff Association does, but I think you need a new name and a rebranding (with a cool t-shirt) ... enlist the help of Chris Larwig or Chris George and let them help with a logo. Then, offer the t-shirt as a bonus when people join (for the low price of $9.99 or something like that) -- a cool t-shirt will boost your membership numbers.

You would probably need some financial help from one or more entities in the system, but having a prize-related reading program for employees would be nice. Also, a discounted membership to the YMCA would be nice to have.
I too would like to see us negotiate discounted rates for fitness memberships. It would have to involve multiple entities, because there is only Shape Fitness available in eastern Oklahoma County.
Although, this is probably something for the Wellness Works team instead of Staff Association.
Great suggestions!! We are looking into getting discounts with your SA membership cards right now. Gyms would be a great place to have a discount. We'll see what we can do.
I love the idea of a staff reading contest!!! There's a lot we could do with that!
How about some type of informal system wide get together? Maybe a picnic / cookout at a park.

Ooo I vote for discounted YMCA membership! I've wanted to join for years but haven't been able to justify the impact to my budget. It would be great for employee wellness.
