Hello!
I found the "Sample Staffing Models" to be helpful when visualizing the structure of each different type of library. I understand that the structure has evolved a bit, and the original documents were taken down. I wonder if updated ones may be posted?
Thank you!
Mark Schuster
Great idea, Mark. I would like to see the updated ones, also.
See pages 10-11 of the Access and Engagement workgroup's proposal here:

Hi!
I apologize for the confusion - I actually was referring to the original "org-chart" style documents that had the staffing levels for a small, medium, and large library, indicating how things would be broken down, with Access and Engagement Managers, Specialists, Librarians, etc. Not the desk schedule examples (which are cool and very helpful).
Were you thinking more of a model of how each library will be staffed? Since Choctaw will have a LM3 and other changes like that?
Hi, Mark.
The only answer I have for the clarification of your previous question is to tell you the date when we will have an answer. The line item "Inform A&E staff of new assignments" in the Alignment Project Work Plan will go from 4/24/2017 to 4/28/2017.
As I'm sure you're aware, suggested staffing of proposed organizational charts are due back from branch management today. Once we receive that information and all the secondary surveys that are due on April 5th, the APC will finalize the organizational charts.
I hope this helps.
-Bobby
The sample staffing models are still available through the Alignment Project Staff Meeting PowerPoint by viewing slides 18-20: http://my.metrolibrary.info/drupal/sites/default/files/documents/Alignme...
So I sat and thought about what brought my curiosity on, and I traced it back to my perusal of the Large Library sample staffing model in the days after the Alignment was announced - it did not include an Access Services Manager 1 position. Later, I noticed on either the mapping or the brief job descriptions documents that it was determined a large library would have an ASM1 to supervise Access Specialist 1s at the location. That was good news to me, and exciting, and when I went back to check the sample staffing models document again, I saw they had been taken down (except, as Andrew noted, they are still part of the longer PP Presentation document). I was curious to see, in light of the addition of the ASM1 to the Large Library, if other such adjustments had been made to other staffing models. For example, it seems the Downtown model has changed quite a bit over the past several weeks. I have pieced it together through reading the job descriptions, mapping, and work plan documents. I am just a visual learner and I thought the charts were nifty! But they are not necessary to my understanding the answer to the question that inspired my original post. Thank you so much to everyone who responded!
