Doing things "the Metro Way" has been referenced in speech and print a few times. To what extent will we come up with our own way of doing things? For example, the initiative document references creating an early literacy program. However, proven early literacy initiatives already exist, from philosophies like Every Child Ready to Read to programs like 1000 Books Before Kindergarten. Will we look at adopting best practices that already exist on the national scale, or be expected to invent our own version?
