Earning Potential?

I understand that those of us making lateral moves should not expect to have a reduction in our current pay. However, according to the position mapping, there are over a dozen positions (representing about 60-70 individuals) where the minimum educational requirements are dropping.
Should we anticipate that when Singer does the Comp and Class study, that the pay ranges for those positions will be reduced to more closely match the listed educational requirements?
For example, my position currently requires a BA/BS. My new position will require only an Associates' degree. As a fairly new employee, I am currently at the low end of the pay scale, with the high end being considerably more. Will the high end be bumped down, therefore reducing my income potential at my current level of education and experience, which will now be well above the minimum required for my position?
I think this information is especially important to know as we are asking people to choose their next positions,if it is possible that the decision made may impact his/her ultimate earning potential.

Good catch ... it was a mistake

Hi Amy, and thanks for messaging about this ... I checked with Chief Organizational Development Officer Michele Gorman, and it looks like this was a mistake ... The mapping for associate librarian is a Engagement Specialist II, and that job will require a BA/BS. So, there should be no bump-down due to the education requirement. Thanks again for noticing this and pointing it out ... We'll make the necessary changes on the documents.
