Lemon Cake Cookies with Blackberry Frosting

I made these for a baby shower, and they turned out fairly tasty!

Cookies:
1 box Lemon cake mix
1 8oz tub Cool Whip
1 egg

Frosting:
Whipped cream cheese icing
1 cup seedless blackberries or juice from blackberries
lemon juice

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. GENTLY mix cookie ingredients, making sure not to over-mix and collapse Cool Whip, until it is a taffy-like consistency.
2. Place tablespoon-sized dollops 3-4 inches apart on greased cookie sheet(s), and bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown around edges. Let sit for at least ten minutes.
3. (Puree blackberries if needed) Mix frosting ingredients, adding lemon juice to taste.
4. After cookies are completely cool, place frosting in icing bag, or Ziploc, and decorate as desired (I made swirls), though this usually works best after cookies sit, covered, overnight.
