FY 14 - 15 MLS Budget
Tuesday, August 19th, the Finance Committee approved the fiscal year 2014-15 Final Budget, which now goes to the Commission next Thursday. Overall, the budget doesn't change all that much from last year, and that's good news - business as usual! A couple of the highlights of interest to us:
- Ad Valorem taxes increase 3.85%, up from last year's 2.3%. This is the highest increase since the fiscal year 2009-10
- The market adjustment for salaries and wages is 2.0%, to take effect in January. It's great to see that real estate values have almost completely recovered from the doldrums. See the entire budget report, appearing here on the Intranet for the very first time!
